Purposes

• To prompt discussion and obtain feedback that will inform the Arctic Governance Project, which endeavors to identify constructive policy options to help sustain communities and ecosystems in the circumpolar Arctic.

• To identify near-term actions that North American NGOs can initiate to encourage U.S. and Canadian leadership on appropriate development and governance in the Arctic.
